Following this, Queen Sylvanas and the Forsaken claimed the Undercity as their own and completed the winding network of catacombs and crypts that the Scourge had begun constructing. Today, rivers of poisonous sludge flow through all avenues of the vast Undercity. The toxic fumes and fetid odors permeating every corner of the stronghold have made it a place almost unbearable for the living members of the Horde. Yet for Sylvanas and her cursed followers, the Undercity has become a much-needed refuge in a world where her kind is still feared and hunted.[11]
warcraft 3 curse of the forsaken
Many of the other races (mainly the tauren) pity the Forsaken and a number of Horde healers all over Azeroth, such as Bena Winterhoof, work tirelessly in the hopes of creating a cure for undeath. Some of the Forsaken feel that their undeath is an illness or curse and long for a cure, but many think it is impossible to attain one.
The forsaken are limited in their ability to reinforce their numbers, having no necromancers among their kind. Instead, these fearless undead warriors are comprised mostly of fighters and warlocks dedicated to building a culture of their own amidst a world that hates and fears them.[138]
...except Calia Menethil exists. I really hope they're not going to somehow make the foresaken as a race embrace the rule of Arthas's sister (!) who tries to change them to a noble dark hero role with positivity and hand wavy holy light undead powers. Her whole story arch is just pretty dumb so far already, but again assuming the forsaken would ever accept a Menethil as leader alone seems loopy, setting aside the weird "Windchime wanted to make her own brand of undead for reasons*".
Cáligo entered the court of King Marco Mithas, a man whose greed was as big as his vast wealth. The naive King was easily tricked by the Wizard who cast a curse on him and his new born son, Marco Vas. Cáligo raised the Prince into his puppet, thus ruling the Kindom from the shadows. To channel the energies that would raise the undead, it was necessary to have a healthy body. Cáligo would transfer his soul from his frail carcass to Vas's younger form. But Vas proved to be a fighter on the inside. The invisible struggle that took place between them caused the Prince's body to implode, leaving in place his beating heart covered by the Wizard's magic.
There are 40 Corrupted Eggs scattered across the Dreaming City, including in the raid and Ascendant Challenges. The Wish-Ender exotic bow is the only way the Corrupted Eggs can be destroyed. Because of that, completing this step will take a while. Players need to wait until the curse is the strongest on the Dreaming City, enter the Shattered Throne, complete the Wish-Ender quest, and then wait for all six Ascendant Challenges to cycle back through to be able to find all the Corrupted Eggs. Speaking of the Wish-Ender...
The Shattered Throne dungeon is like a 3-player raid, and it is only available every third week when the curse is strongest in the Dreaming City. The power level of enemies starts at 570 and scales up to 590 by the final encounter.
Many of the other races (mainly the tauren) pity the Forsaken and a number of Horde healers all over Azeroth, such as Mani Winterhoof, work tirelessly in the hopes of creating a cure for undeath. Some of the Forsaken feel that their undeath is an illness or curse and long for a cure, but many think it is impossible. There is one case of a sentient undead (High Inquisitor Fairbanks) being restored to life, albeit by unrelated reasons.
In Wrath of the Lich King a number of Forsaken under Grand Apothecary Putress broke away from the Horde at the Battle of Angrathar the Wrathgate. While the Horde and Alliance battled the Lich King, Putress triumphantly launched a surprise attack against both factions. At the same time Varimathras successfully pushed the Dark Lady out of the Undercity, however the Horde and Alliance quickly destroyed Varimathras, his demon brothers, and the rebel forsaken in the Battle for the Undercity.
Beings brought back from death with a prayer, spell, wish or miracle are fully restored to their whole and natural state, usually soon after death. If too much time has passed, it may well be that the difficulty and/or chance of failure of a resurrection spell may increase. The forsaken that are raised to undeath in Deathknell have been dead and rotting for weeks, months, or years. Prayers and spells will restore them to a "living state", but that state will be the same undeath they have known for so long now.
Sylvanas Windrunner is the founder and leader of the Forsaken faction. Originally a high elf of Quel'thalas, at a young age Sylvanas displayed exceptional skills at being a ranger, advancing in the ranks until eventually earning the position of Ranger-General. When the Scourge invaded Quel'thalas during the events of Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos, Sylvanas valiantly defended her homeland, delaying the Scourge while the high elves attempted to create a defense. The Scourge however eventually overwhelmed her forces, and Prince Arthas Menethil (now a death knight) killed Sylvanas himself and raised her as an incorporeal banshee in his service as punishment for hindering his invasion. Prince Arthas' master, the Lich King, gradually lost control over the undead, a result of an attack by Illidan Stormrage and his forces on the Lich King's fortress, the Frozen Throne in Northrend. Thanks to this loss of control, Sylvanas regained her free will and physical body before launching an attack on Prince Arthas. Arthas fled to Northrend, but Sylvanas chose not to pursue him just yet, instead recruiting the majority of free-willed undead under her service and renaming themselves the 'Forsaken'. She led the Forsaken to consolidate their hold over the ruins of Lordaeron by defeating the dread lords of the Burning Legion and eventually betraying the Alliance remnants within the region (whom she manipulated to help her destroy her enemies). Under their new queen's guidance, the Forsaken established the Undercity beneath the ruins of Lordaeron's capital. While some Forsaken feared Sylvanas, others valued the security she provided. Many of the free-willed undead, however, found a purpose to their cursed existence through the banshee queen's burning desire to destroy the Lich King.
They found a locked door with treasure behind it and despite trying their best, they could not open the door. Fear not, they eventually found a way to do so but only after first helping the cursed captain. They found yet another pulley nearby and pulling it brought up some cargo that helped them cross the gap.
They then made their way back to the special recipe they left on the ship earlier, grabbed it, and then went down to discover that the cursed captain is more of a cursed skull that talks like a captain. Despite their best efforts, the cage remained unbroken. However, the captain tasked our pirate with finding his mutinous crew who held the key to his freedom.
At the back of the tavern, up a small ramp, they found a pulley and discovered that upon pulling it, the chandelier where the glint originated dropped to the galley floor. This glint of treasure turned out to be the Cage Key their cursed friend needed to escape their cage. 2ff7e9595c
